Who We Are
We're a family of three living in a Brisbane apartment โ and when our baby arrived, we quickly discovered that almost every baby gear guide online was written for houses. Big houses. With garages, spare rooms, and hallways wide enough to park a pram.
That's not our life. Our nursery doubles as a home office. Our pram lives in the entryway. Every product we buy has to earn its floor space, fold down small enough to store, and actually be worth the square metres it takes up.
ApartmentBaby.com.au exists because we couldn't find the guide we actually needed โ so we built it.
What We Do Differently
We measure. Actually.
Every product recommendation includes actual dimensions, folded size, and how it fits into a real apartment layout. We're not rewriting manufacturer specs โ we're telling you whether it fits through a standard apartment doorway and where you'd actually store it.
Skin in the game
Our Amazon Finds guide is built entirely from products we personally own and use daily โ the pram fan that we get stopped about on every outing, the teething tubes that finally worked when nothing else did, the Weleda nappy cream we'll never stop buying. Where we haven't personally owned something, we say so and explain our research process.
Australian recommendations for Australian families
All our product links go to Amazon AU. We check Australian availability before every recommendation โ no US-only products, no grey imports, no "ships in 6โ8 weeks from overseas." We also write from a Queensland summer perspective, which is why you'll find a lot of heat-management thinking in our pram and outdoor gear recommendations.
We're not paid by brands
No brand has ever paid us to feature their product. Our only income comes from Amazon Associates commissions when you purchase through our links โ at no extra cost to you. That means our only incentive is to recommend products that are genuinely good, because if we recommend something terrible, you won't trust us next time.
Our Story
Like most new parents, we spent a lot of time researching before our baby arrived. We read reviews, watched YouTube videos, and joined Facebook groups. What we found was a lot of content that assumed we had unlimited space โ nursery tours filmed in large suburban homes, "must-have" lists that would require a dedicated baby storage room, pram comparisons that never once mentioned whether it would fit in a lift.
When our baby arrived and we started figuring out apartment life with a newborn, we built our own mental database of what actually worked. The bassinet that fits beside a queen bed with just enough room to open the side. The high chair that folds flat against the wall. The bath that hangs on a hook when not in use. The pram fan that every other parent at South Bank asks about.
We started writing it all down โ and ApartmentBaby.com.au is the result.
Amazon and Affiliate Links
We're part of the Amazon Associates program, which means we earn a small commission when you click our links and make a purchase. This costs you nothing extra โ the price you pay is identical whether you click through our site or go to Amazon directly.
This commission is what allows us to keep the site running and keep writing reviews. We take it seriously: we only link to products we'd genuinely recommend to a friend, and we always disclose our affiliate relationships clearly.
Amazon AU has been a genuine game changer for us as parents โ the ability to research, order, and receive baby products quickly is invaluable when things move as fast as they do in the first year. We focus exclusively on Amazon AU so every recommendation is one click away from your door.
